Manufacturing Technician
As a Manufacturing Technician, you will get the opportunity to support our Manufacturing team in assembling space hardware, researching and creating innovative solutions that advance our manufacturing capabilities. There will be many opportunities to learn new skills for operating advance manufacturing and metrology equipment. You will also have the chance to provide feedback to our Design Engineering team regarding Design for Manufacturing/Assembly. If you have two or more years of experience assembling medical, automotive, electronics, or space hardware, we’d like you to join our team. This role will allow you to directly contribute to space flight programs that support cutting-edge space missions for NASA as well as other government agencies and the commercial space sector.

Day to day activities:
Process incoming flight hardware
Precision cleaning, bagging and tagging, first article and/or random sample inspection, space hardware assembly at the subcomponent level and top level
Manufacturing acceptance testing involving visual inspections, physical dimensional measurements, electrical checks, leak checking
Use and maintenance of production capital equipment such as heat-treating furnace, X-ray machine, induction brazing machine, electron beam welding machine, mineral insulated cable swaging machine, MIG/TIG welders, orbital welders, optical microscopes, 3D profilers, and CMM
Desired skills:
Knowledge about basic manufacturing tools such as torque wrenches, crimping tools, multimeter, pressure gage, and calipers
Familiar with CAD programs
Familiar with job routers
Ability to work with high electrical and potential energy machinery
