Working with a focused group, you will play a key role in designing, testing, and refining electrospray and other propulsion technologies from the ground up. Busek’s propulsion systems are used across a diverse range of spacecraft, including CubeSats, small satellites, and large geostationary platforms, serving high-profile customers like NASA, DARPA, and the Department of Defense.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and test electric propulsion systems and high-vacuum facilities
- Set up facilities, including power supplies and flow cabinets for testing
- Design, fabricate, and implement test jigs and automation setups
- Develop LabView-based automation and perform data analysis in MATLAB
- Formulate and document test procedures, relay design feedback, and write reports
- Electronics testing, high-voltage systems, and precision hardware assembly
- Proficiency in LabView, MATLAB, and CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
- Background in electric propulsion systems, ion beam diagnostics, and high-vacuum facilities
- BS in Engineering with 2+ years’ relevant experience in industry or graduate research
U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required under ITAR regulations. Employment contingent on background checks.
