System Test Engineer – Panel Systems (User Acceptance Testing)

Position Summary
Busek is seeking a System Test Engineer with strong experience testing complex panel-based systems, with an emphasis on user-driven verification, controls, and software-driven functionality. This role will focus on developing, executing, and documenting user acceptance test (UAT) procedures to ensure panel systems meet operational requirements and are ready for deployment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience creating formal test scripts, coordinating with stakeholders, and validating system behavior from the end-user perspective.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, write, and maintain user acceptance test scripts and procedures for panel systems
Execute UAT to ensure proper operation and usability of panel-based systems
Perform functional and performance testing from the user/operator perspective, including control logic, I/O, and system interfaces
Validate system behavior against operational and customer requirements
Troubleshoot issues in coordination with systems, software, and electrical teams
Document test results, generate formal UAT reports, and track resolutions
Support user training, system integration, and acceptance testing
Maintain traceability between user requirements and test cases
Recommend improvements to test processes, documentation standards, and repeatability
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Strong experience in user-focused system-level testing with panel-based or control systems
Demonstrated experience writing formal UAT scripts and procedures
Experience testing control logic, software-driven functionality, and I/O behavior
Strong technical documentation and reporting skills
Comfortable working in a lab or production test environment with end users
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability systems
Familiarity with PLCs, embedded systems, or control software (as applicable)
Experience with scripting or test automation (e.g., Python, LabVIEW, or similar)
Knowledge of requirements management and UAT traceability
Experience supporting both qualification and user acceptance testing
