Position Overview:
As a Facility Engineering Technician (Apprentice), you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing Busek’s physical infrastructure. You will ensure smooth operation of our production and lab spaces, contribute to facility improvements, and help uphold safety and regulatory compliance standards.
This is a hands-on, full-time role suited for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn a variety of technical systems in a dynamic, aerospace-focused environment.

As a Facility Engineering Technician (Apprentice), you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing Busek’s physical infrastructure. - Support setup, operation, and preventive maintenance of high-quality production and R&D facilities
- Maintain infrastructure such as vacuum chambers, machining and welding equipment, X-ray inspection tools, and more
- Assist in facility improvements and layout changes to enhance capabilities
- Install and maintain specialized equipment and appliances
- Contribute to EHS compliance (OSHA, ISO-9001), fire safety, building security, and environmental stewardship
- Perform general facility maintenance, including lighting, snow removal, and landscaping
- Support HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems, and LN2 infrastructure
- Help manage space utilization and furnishings
- Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in technical systems
- Hands-on experience with general maintenance (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
- Experience with vacuum systems (low, high, or UHV) is a plus
- Familiarity with PLCs, vacuum controller design, or electrical installations a bonus
- Previous experience in a hardware or engineering environment preferred
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Must be a U.S. citizen (required to comply with U.S. Government contract regulations)
