As a Facility Engineering Technician, you will focus upon the efficient and effective delivery of support services for Busek Co. Inc. You will be supporting / improving productivity of the core business by the coordination of demand and supply of facilities and services. You will have experience in operations and facility maintenance, property management, environmental stewardship and sustainability at this small aerospace company located in Natick, MA.

Busek’s accomplishments include innovative electric propulsion systems for spacecraft such as first US Hall Effect Thruster in space. Our present efforts span research/development to manufacturing of aerospace systems to low-volume production of high-reliable in-space components and subsystems. The company has several R&D labs (over 30K sq.ft.) including over 20 vacuum chambers from 9 feet in diameter to small desktop systems. Busek was founded over three decades ago and incorporated in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 1985. Our facilities are in Natick MA, approximately 20 miles west of Boston.

Day to day activities:
- Setup, support operations and preventative maintenance of high-quality production and R&D facilities
- Maintain production manufacturing and R&D infrastructure (aerospace vacuum tanks, machining, welding, and brazing operations, X-ray inspection, etc.)
- Enhancement and expansion of capability through facility changes as required
- Support installation and operation of specific equipment and appliances
- EHS (environment, health and safety), as required for OHSA, ISO-9001 etc., fire safety, security (access and surveillance of the facility)
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements related to facilities include: fire safety arrangements, lighting levels, signage, ventilation, temperature control
- Maintenance of facility
- Building and grounds maintenance including snow removal, lighting, landscaping
- HVAC, electrical, plumbing, LN2 facility,
- Space allocation, utilization, and furniture
- Electrical installation and design
- PLC programming, controller design and installation for vacuum control systems
- Prior experience with vacuum systems (low, High and UHV) systems
- Prior experience with general maintenance including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and building maintenance
- Prior experience in a hardware engineering company
